The Healing Homes Foundation

Our focus is to help families that have lost a Child or Parent in any way that we can.  It is a very difficult time in peoples lives.  People can struggle emotionally and financially.  We offer families emotional support by offering referrals for counseling, and finanically by helping with medical and funeral expenses.  In addition to the support we offer families the opportunity to get away and regroup by going on a family retreat to a location of their choice.  No one can decide what is best for the family at that time except for the family themselves.  We are there to help support what they need.

Our Accomplishments

Thanks to the support of so many people we have been able to help so many families. 

We paid the funeral expenses for a family whose 19 year old  son was shot and killed in a drive by shooting.

A donation was made to help a family purchase a monument for their 11 year old son who was killed in a sledding accident in March 2007.

A scholarship was awarded to a Lincoln-Way East student whose parent passed away. ( May 2007)

A scholarship was awarded to a DW Eisenhower student whose parent passed away. ( May 2007) 

A donation was made to cover funeral expenses for a new born baby in March 2008.

A donation was made for a family who lost both their 8 year old son and then their Father one week later in April 2008.

Two scholarships were awarded to two Linocln-Way East students who have lost family members (May 2008)

Two scholarships were awarded to two DW Eisenhower students who have lost family members. (May 2008)

Since 2005, we have have been able to help several families because of the continued support of so many people.
